How does humor help you cope?
Humor is everything to me. I like being silly with my friends. It’s all about keeping it light hearted and bantering back and forth. In the past whenever work would amp up a little, laughing about the situation got my coworkers and me through. When all else fails, you can’t take things too seriously.
It’s the same with Migraine. I can’t laugh during a bad one because that’s no fun, but I can make light of things to myself. For example wondering why my neighbor mows for two hours and lets the mower idle near our side of his yard. If I don’t already have a Migraine, the mower will definitely ignite the fuse. A mower I might add, that my husband gave to this neighbor when we got a newer one. This guy had sworn off riding mowers till he got ours, and he loves it so much, he’s on it a lot! As much as it pains me to hear that thing rev up, I can’t help but see humor in this irony.
And I seek laughter from television as well. Dr. Sheldon Cooper. Need I say more?
