Money, Money, Money. How does living with Migraine or another Headache Disorder Impact your financial situation?
The word for my situation is comfortable. I cannot complain in regard to money. But I also don’t need a brand new car, clothes, shoes or a fancy house. My Explorer is seventeen years old and running just fine (knocking on wood!). My husband’s truck is eleven going on twelve. We make due and are happy with what we have.
In odd ways, my migraines have probably saved me more money than not, except for the fact that I’d still be working right now. With the earning potential aside, however, I’m not out spending money. Movies are a rarity, I avoid malls, and Friday night dinners out with a group get cancelled about half the time if not more. And I’m not burning fuel unless necessary.
I feel very blessed. But do I still dream of winning the lottery? Oh yeah!
June 2013, Migraine and Headache Awareness Month, is dedicated to Unmasking the Mystery of Chronic Headache Disorders.

Being grateful and counting our blessings feels good even when we don’t feel so good in our bodies! Thanks for sharing your story!
